"My husband had a total hip replacement done by Dr. Shekhman at the end of Oct. 2022. Dealing with the doctor, his staff and the Bone and Joint Institute was terrific. Great
co - ordination of care for pre op and post op procedures, to prepare and recovery from the surgery. Would highly recommend Dr Shekhman."
"Dr. Shekhman replaced my right hip early in September. The surgery and rehabilitation regimen went extremely well thanks to Dr. Shekhman’s oversight and at home and outpatient physical therapy. I am now able to walk, etc. with virtually no discomfort (and I can barely see the scar). Many thanks to Dr. Shekhman and his wonderful staff!"
" 11 months and 7 months in full bilateral hip replacements. Dr. Shekhman changed my life. The entire process from our first meetings to follow-up check up has been outstanding. I feel NORMAL AGAIN AND NO PAIN. In the process I interviewed 4 surgeons. There was no doubt after meeting with Dr. Shekhman he would do my procedures. THANK YOU!!"
"I had anterior full right hip replacement surgery 5 weeks ago by Dr. Shekhman. He fully explained the entire procedure in detail indicating that my right hip was bone on bone and I had hip dysplasia which would all be corrected with this surgery. At the 5 week post op I am walking very well with no pain and everything he said went according to plan. He answered all of my questions prior to my surgery and after surgery. He is very professional and has great bedside manner. I am very happy I chose Dr. Shekhman for this surgery and I would strongly recommend him."
"I am so happy with my new hip! People are amazed when I tell them I've had a hip replacement. My level of activities its virtually completely normal. i believe I could do more but that is up to me. No jumping out of airplanes, of course. Whatever restrictions there are, are things I didn't do before anyhow. Apart from the skilled surgery involved, the key is "doing the work" both before and after the surgery. My wife and close friends are now encouraged to go ahead with the procedure. Thank you , Dr. Shekhman! Five plus stars, if you like stars!"
"Dr. Shekhman performed a total knee replacement of my right knee in March of 2024. I was very afraid to have this operation. He gave me other options that I could try first. Over the span of 10 years my knee joint started pushing out to the side when I walked making my leg look bow-legged and causing pain and a lot of difficulty walking. Dr. Shekhman was very understanding and assured me he could correct this and that after surgery my leg would be straight again. He did a fabulous job! I feel 10 years younger after having the replacement. He is a very caring and encouraging doctor and I would highly recommend him. His staff is also very understanding and caring."
